Mass tort dossiers
A dossier on every mass tort we track
30 torts on the Torts Board, 28 with a full dossier. Each one leads with a recommendation on whether to spend now, then backs it with the litigation, the case criteria, the market and the competition.

Inside a tort dossier
Five views of one tort, from the executive call down to the screening questions.
Where does the litigation stand?
The Litigation view pulls the docket together: pending actions from the JPML report, the transferee judge, the master docket, and the settlement record.
- Pending actions with the monthly change
- Master docket linked to CourtListener
- Total settled, settlement range and estimated cost per case, each labelled with its basis

Who qualifies for the case?
The Case Criteria view turns the published criteria into screening guidance your intake team can use.
- Product, exposure, diagnosis, timing and statute of limitations
- Screening tiers from basic lead to retainer-ready
- Common screening questions and disqualifiers

Who is advertising on it?
The Competition view shows how many advertisers are on the tort, how many ads are running, and how many are law firms buying direct versus lead buyers.
- Advertisers over 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, by platform
- Law firm, lead-gen and arbitrage advertisers told apart
- Arrivals and departures, so you can see who just entered

Who are the claimants, and how do we reach them?
The Market Opportunity view describes who was exposed and what that means for targeting, without inventing a geographic ranking the evidence does not support.
- Audience and exposure context from the litigation and health data
- Targeting implications by channel, keyword and market
- Open the tort in Strategy Advisor to build the plan
Market Opportunity covers
- Acquisition scope
- Audience and exposure context
- Targeting implications
- Search terms
- Market focus

Where does the litigation data come from?
The JPML pending-actions report, federal court dockets through CourtListener, legal news, and FDA adverse event and recall data where the tort involves a drug or device. Sources are cited on the page.
